Favorite song by this band. So much relevance to my life.
This is my first tattoo done on the 18 of April, I couldn’t be more happy with it. I wanted something that showed off her specialty which is dotwork and Polynesian style work. When she showed me the design I fell in love with it. It means so much to me, it signifies my life changing, moving out, finding a job I love etc. Done by Fade Fx in the locally loved shop ‘Tizz’s’ where I work in Lewes, UK. Replaceable.
I think that the thought of being replaceable is one of the worse feelings a person can have. Just thinking that not only one person doesn’t need you in their lives, but everyone doesn’t. It’s the feeling that you’re best friends can easily find a way to fill the void that you once occupied the moment that you drift apart away from them. That though people would be worried if you disappeared, that sense of worry would only last a second. It’s the feeling that you become only figments of peoples memories; someone that was easy to say goodbye too and not truly missed.
The realization that you’re not as important as you thought you once believed, and that people leave because they don’t really need you becomes de-heartening. The worse part is, you don’t fear never meeting new people or feeling alone. It’s wondering how many times you’ll have to say goodbye and see people walk out of your life that truly becomes terrifying. How many times will it be when you realize you care about people more than they cared about you? That you can be taken for granted and never noticed. That you can just leave and no one will end up following to get you as you can easily be replaced.
And if you ever felt this way, you know how much this feeling hurts. But these thoughts in your head that eat away at you are ones that you should not believe. In life, it’ll just feel like people are always leaving and people don’t care. Truth it, as rare and difficult it may be, it’s worth it to find that one person who will stay and make you feel irreplaceable.
